Chez Berteau is our holiday home in the Charente region of
France. It is a beautiful restored 18th century farmhouse / buttery that can only be described as an executive 'HIDE-AWAY'
for those families that want to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility of the open countryside whilst being within
driving distance of the coast and the superb Bordeaux wine region. Assuming you get beyond the local Cognac and Pineau !.
The house is a home and is not equipped as a rented Gite but almost
everything you will need is provided. Two years ago we had a 10 metre family pool installed in the front garden and the house
now has the benefit of underfloor central heating so you'll never be cold out of season.
